Why are you subbed to this newsletter?

Why you're here (in case you forgot).

A year ago, I pissed off 500 salespeople in a single post.

I had been in sales for 5 years.

On LinkedIn, I started making a name for myself. Specifically in the cold calling space.

Seth Godin, the legendary marketer, gave me two pieces of advice:
- The first was to “quit my job” because cold calling was dead.
- The second was to become a marketer.

That’s exactly what I did.

I shut down my agency. Stopped cold calling. And learned everything I could about content marketing.

Best decision ever.

This doesn’t answer the question, though.
“Why the F*** am I subscribed to this newsletter?”

It’s because YOU signed up for it!

Don’t believe me? I’ll prove it to you.

This newsletter started as a LinkedIn newsletter.

You either subscribed to it back in 2023 when it was centered around cold calling. Or you subscribed shortly after my pivot.

We just imported all of the contacts from LinkedIn to Beehiiv.

This newsletter teaches salespeople, marketers, and founders about social selling in not-so-traditional ways. Ways that may even get you into trouble.

Read at your own risk.

If you’re new here. If you’re struggling with LinkedIn or Twitter. If you’re trying to book your first meeting from socials… reply back to this email.

A simple “whaddup!” is fine.

But I’d love to know more about you, what you do, and how I can serve you.

With love,
James Hanzimanolis
