Creating a headline that works

Stop saying "I help {persona} do {thing}"

Clichés = boring.

And 90% of LinkedIn users have boring, corny headlines.

I help founders handle their emotions through deep meditation”

This formula of “I help X do Y” is exhausting.
And when it’s time for your buyers to start shopping around… there will be 10 of you with the same exact headline.

Chris Do, the legendary marketer and head of The Futur, once said that the perfect headline contradicts itself in 2 words.

His is great.
Loud extravert.

You could go with Terrified stuntsman, Unhinged therapist, Vegan hunter, or Ice-cold firefighter, for example.

While those rock; I’m not necessarily sold on that.

The secret to the perfect headline is to have something that’s catchy, makes the reader think for 2 seconds, and reflects on your brand.

That’s how I decided mine.
